4 steps · ~5 minPut your agent on Email.
Your agent gets an inbox — it reads and replies over IMAP/SMTP.
Copy it the moment it appears. This platform shows the secret only once — if you lose it, you'll have to reset and start that step again.
1Step 1Use a dedicated inbox
Best on its own email account, not your personal one. Gmail works well as an example.
2Step 2Turn on 2-Step Verification
In your Google account, open Security → 2-Step Verification and turn it on (app passwords need it).
Step 3Create an app password
Go to myaccount.google.com/apppasswords, name it, click Create, and copy the 16-character code.
This app password lets anything read and send email from that inbox — treat it like your account password. If it leaks, delete it from the App passwords page and create a new one.
On screenA yellow box with a 16-character code — it's shown once, so copy it now.4Step 4Paste the details into Blimp
Enter the address, the app password, imap.gmail.com, and smtp.gmail.com.
On screenOther providers use their own hosts (e.g. Outlook: outlook.office365.com / smtp.office365.com).
What Blimp will ask for
- Email address
- Password / app password
- IMAP host — e.g. imap.gmail.com
- SMTP host — e.g. smtp.gmail.com
Once you paste it into Blimp, that's the finish line — we verify the credential and put your agent live. Every agent runs isolated, with its own private memory — walled off from everyone else's. Idle agents cost nothing; you only pay for real conversations.
